Fire test of furniture
Test apparatus corresponds to standard ESV-EN 1021-1; ESV-EN 1021-2 and IMO 2010 FTPC part 8
Testing item is mounted as stylized soft furniture. In Part 1 the smoldering cigarette will be placed on testing item. Birth of flaming or progressing smoldering will be observed.
Test will be stopped if smoldering (flaming) will reach any edge or smoldering has been going on for a hour. If progressing glowing or flaming will not appear or cigarette will not burn until the end the test will be repeated.
In Part 2 in place of smoldering cigarette - the mach flame equality ignition source - the gas burner will be placed for 20 seconds on testing item. Birth of flaming or progressing smoldering will be observed. Test will be stopped if smoldering (flaming) will reach any edge or smoldering has been going on for a hour.
